UNIVERSITY LECTURERS: Pensions strike well supported

University staff in Cambridge today held the first of two days of strike action to protest at attacks on their pensions. On Thursday they will join thousands of other University staff throughout Britain protesting the college authorities refusal to negotiate pay and job protection arrangements in a national agreement.

LONDON COMMUNISTS GATHER: Plans to step up the anti-cuts fight in the capital

Communists from all over London will gather on Saturday to discuss how to step-up the fight against job loss and cuts to public services. The meeting is open to  supporters and new members. There are still a limited number of places - to register go here. The meeting will also discuss and adopt a programme of work aimed to build the labour movement and build the CP.
