WALES: Communist Party general secretary Robert Griffiths is to stand in the Cardiff South & Penarth parliamentary by-election. The date for the election has yet to be announced.
Labour MP Alun Michael is vacating the seat to run for South Wales Police commissioner.
Cardiff-born Mr Griffiths said he’ll give voters the chance to vote against “big business rip-off Britain” this autumn. His policies include public ownership, higher taxes on the rich and large businesses, and investment in productive industry and public services.
