Communists call for a return to class politics

The EU election results confirm that Britain's political crisis continues to deepen. For the ruling class of monopoly capitalists, their first choice as the party of government is now divided, discredited and demoralised. The Tories appear incapable of delivering the semi-Brexit that might have resolved the crisis, while keeping Britain bound by the big business 'freedoms' of the EU Single Market.

This course – aimed at beginners - provides a basic introduction to the Marxist analysis of capitalist economics – comparing and contrasting its approach to that provided by neo-liberal and Keynesian interpretations. We will look at Marx's pamphlet, Wages, Price and Profit. Written in 1864 at the same time Marx was finishing his great work, Capital, Volume 1, it boils down the arguments of Capital to their simple essence.

Joint Communist Party & CPI statement on EU elections

The communist parties of Britain (CPB) and Ireland (CPI), recognising the different situations they struggle within and the forces at play during the course the EU elections, have discussed the solidarity that exists between the parties on the question of nature of the European Union and the consequences of continued membership. In particular the CPI sends solidarity to all those in Britain who, over the weekend of 18-19th May and in the run up to election day on 23rd May, are participating in the Boycott campaign.

Communists warn of war danger

Britain's Communists have sounded the alarm about the 'rapidly escalating danger of war' in the Middle East and Latin America.

Addressing the Communist Party's political committee on Wednesday evening, Liz Payne said all the signs pointed to a military conflagration provoked by the US regime in alliance with Saudi Arabia, Israel and Britain.
