'General election and Labour victory now urgent' say Communists

The labour movement must unite on a credible, principled basis if it is not to throw away the prospect of winning a Labour government, Britain's Communists have warned.

Carol Stavris told the Communist Party's political committee on Wednesday evening (June 5) that powerful forces in British society were determined to prevent the election of a left government led by Jeremy Corbyn.

Joint Communist Party & CPI statement on EU elections

The communist parties of Britain (CPB) and Ireland (CPI), recognising the different situations they struggle within and the forces at play during the course the EU elections, have discussed the solidarity that exists between the parties on the question of nature of the European Union and the consequences of continued membership. In particular the CPI sends solidarity to all those in Britain who, over the weekend of 18-19th May and in the run up to election day on 23rd May, are participating in the Boycott campaign.

Communists warn of war danger

Britain's Communists have sounded the alarm about the 'rapidly escalating danger of war' in the Middle East and Latin America.

Addressing the Communist Party's political committee on Wednesday evening, Liz Payne said all the signs pointed to a military conflagration provoked by the US regime in alliance with Saudi Arabia, Israel and Britain.
